Santiago Mellado

Santiago (Jim or James) Mellado is currently the President of the Willow Creek Association (WCA) in South Barrington Illinois. Jim joined the WCA in 1992 and has served as its president since late 1993. Willow_Creek_Association [1]

Education

He is a 1991 graduate of the Harvard Business School. While a student at Harvard, he wrote a case study on the Willow Creek Community Church which has become a part of the curriculum at Harvard Business School. [2][3]

He graduated cum laude with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. [4]

Olympic Games

In 1988, he competed in the Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea and placed 26th in the decathlon for the country of his birth, El Salvador.Athletics_at_the_1988_Summer_Olympics [5] A year before that he competed in the Pan American Games and placed fourth in the decathlon competition [4] After twenty two years, he still retains two national records for his performances. Personal

He was married to Leanne in 1986 and has three children named Ester (1989), Elisabeth (1991) and Davy (1994). They currently live in South Barrington.
